The players in Blitz! take on roles as fire chiefs, ambulance and rescue officers and the other key people who were trying to control the effects of German bombing on London during the Blitz of 1940.
The game is designed to engross the participants and give them an insight into the mindset and technical problems of the time, a period still in living memory.
The students will be making decisions under 'real' time pressure as the fires keep spreading and the bombs keep dropping.
They get to deploy their firefighters, fire appliances, rescuers, medics etc to save lives and stop the fires spreading. Particiapnts have found this an exciting and challenging experience.
